Rhythms of Rajasthan Comes to Cyprus

The High Commission of India in Nicosia is pleased to present “Rhythms of Rajasthan”, a vibrant cultural programme showcasing the rich folk traditions of Rajasthan.

The performances will feature Rakhi Sapera and Troupe, a 10-member cultural group from Jaipur empanelled with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Through expressive folk dance, live music, colourful costumes and traditional stagecraft, the troupe will bring to Cyprus the distinctive rhythm, energy and cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

Programme Highlights

Audiences will experience:

• Kalbelia, one of Rajasthan’s most celebrated folk-dance traditions
• Ghoomar, known for its graceful circular movements and vibrant costumes
• Live Rajasthani folk music and percussion
• Traditional costumes and captivating stage performances
• An immersive presentation of Rajasthan’s living cultural heritage
