Applications Invited for the 88th Know India Programme | Young Professionals | 16–29 August 2026
The High Commission of India, Nicosia invites applications from eligible young members of the Indian diaspora in Cyprus for the 88th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), being organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, from 16 to 29 August 2026.
This edition of the Know India Programme is for the Young Professionals category, covering applicants in the 24–28 years age group.
About the Know India Programme
The Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, launched in 2003–04 to strengthen the engagement of young members of the Indian diaspora with their ancestral roots.
The Programme provides selected participants an opportunity to visit India and experience the country’s rich cultural heritage, economic transformation, innovation and start-up ecosystem, scientific and technological progress, and contemporary development journey as India moves towards Viksit Bharat @2047.
Since its inception, the Ministry of External Affairs has organised 87 editions of the Know India Programme, with the participation of 3,153 young members of the Indian diaspora.

Eligibility
Applications are invited from young members of the Indian diaspora aged 24–28 years, including:

Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)

Overseas Citizens of India (OCI cardholders)
-
Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
Applicants who have not previously visited India may be given preference, as per the revised guidelines.

The Programme aims to inspire young members of the Indian diaspora to deepen their connection with India and participate in India’s developmental journey.
Documents Required
Interested applicants are requested to submit the duly completed application form along with the following documents:

Copy of passport

Recent passport-size colour photograph

Educational qualification certificate(s)

PIO/OCI Card or NRI certificate, as applicable

Any other relevant supporting documents, as required under the guidelines
Applicants are advised to ensure that all details in the application form are accurate and match their passport and supporting documents.
