Viksit Bharat 2047 Creative Competitions

As India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, the High Commission of India in Nicosia invites artists, photographers, storytellers and friends of India of all age groups to participate in the Viksit Bharat 2047 Creative Competitions.

The initiative provides participants an opportunity to express their vision of India, celebrate its rich cultural heritage and share their personal connection with the country through art, photography and digital storytelling.

Painting Competition

Theme: Viksit Bharat 2047

Participants are invited to imagine the India of 2047 and present their vision of a developed, innovative, inclusive and prosperous nation through art.

Entries may highlight India’s aspirations, achievements, technological advancement, sustainable development, cultural heritage and the role of its people in building a developed nation.

Photography Competition

Theme: India Through My Lens

Participants may capture India’s culture, colours, people, heritage, landscapes, traditions, festivals and memorable moments through their unique perspective.

The competition seeks photographs that reflect the diversity, beauty and spirit of India.

What connects you to India?

It could be India’s people, culture, education, yoga, travel, festivals, an ICCR scholarship or a cherished personal memory.

Participants are invited to share their India story through:

• Photographs
• Short videos
• Reels
• Personal experiences or narratives

Cash Prizes

Attractive cash prizes will be awarded:

First Prize: €100
Second Prize: €75
Third Prize: €50

Selected winners will be felicitated by High Commissioner Mr. Manish during the celebration of the 80th Independence Day of India on 15 August 2026 at the High Commission of India in Nicosia.
