The third round of the #FIDEWomenGrandPrix Cyprus was played on 17 March at Hilton Hotel, #Nicosia. The #ceremonial #first #move was performed by High Commissioner Mr. Manish for Indian player Ms Dronavalli Harika, who was playing against Ms. Zhu Jiner of China. Another #Indian player Ms. Divya Deshmukh played against Aleksandra Goryachkina. #Chess, as many of you know, was born in India as ‘Chaturanga’ more than 1,500 years ago. What started as a game of kings and warriors has now become a global intellectual sport, with #India continuing to lead on the world stage. Today, #India is one of the strongest chess nations, producing Grandmasters, world champions, and rising stars who are redefining the game. We are proud of the two Indian champions Ms. Dronavalli Harika and Ms. Divya Desmukh participating in #FIDEWomenGrandPrix in Nicosia.
