Strengthening Bilateral Business Ties between India and Cyprus

As part of the high-level engagements during the official visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to Cyprus, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and H.E. President Nikos Christodoulides participated in a strategic roundtable with prominent CEOs and business leaders from India and Cyprus in Limassol.
The roundtable focused on enhancing bilateral economic and trade cooperation across a range of high-potential sectors, including innovation, energy, technology, pharmaceuticals, shipping, and professional services. The discussions underscored a shared commitment to developing sustainable economic partnerships that are future-ready and mutually beneficial.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized India’s decade-long reform journey that has transformed the country into one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies. He outlined India’s efforts in promoting transparent governance, implementing policy reforms, and maintaining a stable and investor-friendly business environment, which continue to attract global interest.
The dialogue also highlighted the untapped potential of the India–Cyprus economic corridor, with both sides expressing strong intent to translate opportunities into long-term strategic collaborations. The event reflected the positive momentum in the bilateral relationship and the growing recognition of Cyprus as a valuable economic partner and gateway for Indian businesses into the European Union.
Looking ahead, the High Commission of India, Nicosia, remains confident that this high-level interaction will pave the way for new initiatives, promote deeper commercial engagement, and contribute meaningfully to the broader India–EU partnership.
