High Commissioner meets Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry and Chief Scientist of Cyprus

High Commissioner Mr. Manish had a productive meeting with Mr. Kyriakos Iordanou, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Cyprus, and Dr. Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology of the Republic of Cyprus.

Discussions focused on strengthening India–Cyprus cooperation in renewable energy, trade, technology, innovation and research. Both sides also exchanged views on new avenues of collaboration in forward-looking sectors, including research linkages, technology partnerships and innovation-led business engagement.

The meeting reflected the growing momentum in India–Cyprus relations and the shared interest of both countries in expanding cooperation in emerging sectors that can support sustainable growth, technological advancement and deeper economic partnership.
