External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar Meets Foreign Minister of Cyprus in Larnaca

External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, held a warm and productive meeting with Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, during his arrival in Larnaca on 15 June 2025.
The discussions reflected the longstanding friendship and shared democratic values between India and Cyprus. Both Ministers reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and explored ways to further deepen cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and multilateral domains.
Special focus was placed on strengthening collaboration within the India–EU framework, with Cyprus playing an increasingly active role in bridging India’s growing partnership with the European Union. Minister Kombos appreciated India’s global contributions and reiterated Cyprus’s support for India’s engagements with the EU and multilateral institutions.
The two Ministers also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to working together to promote peace, stability, and prosperity.
This high-level exchange laid the groundwork for the ongoing high-level engagements between the two countries and further consolidated the strategic partnership ahead of the visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to Cyprus.
