The discussions focused on innovative strategies to promote ODOP products in the Republic of Cyprus. Key topics included marketing approaches for Indian coffee from #Coorg & #Araku, wine from Maharashtra, and wellness products, textiles (block printing), lace works, pottery, silver filigree etc.. The meeting underscored the need for a robust marketing framework to effectively showcase these unique offerings, thereby strengthening economic ties between India and Cyprus. A celebration of Ganeshotsav 2024 was organized in collaboration with Sanskriti Cyprus, a diaspora cultural organisation. Marking the 5th edition of this festival, the event brought together members of Indian diaspora and Cypriot community for an evening of cultural vibrancy and celebration of India's cultural heritage. The celebration was organised at the Dali Amphitheater, which was attended by over 250 guests. High Commissioner Mr. Manish and Madam Preeti Gupta graced the Ganeshotsav 2024 celebrations as Chief Guests. The event showcased notable cultural performances, including procession of the Ganesha idol on beats of traditional drums; Parvati ke Nandan, Kathak & Mohiniattam dance performances, patriotic dances performances and other solo dances by children, along with the traditional offerings and prayers to Lord Ganesha. These performances highlighted the rich cultural and devotional traditions of Maharashtra, providing a vibrant platform to exhibit the diversity and depth of Indian arts and heritage. The celebration not only highlighted the religious significance of Ganesh Chaturthi but also served as a vibrant display of India's rich cultural heritage in Cyprus, fostering stronger ties between the two communities. In his address, the High Commissioner lauded the Indian diaspora for being cultural ambassadors of India, emphasizing their role in promoting Indian cultural traditions in Cyprus. Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant, Supreme Court of India, Ld. Attorney General R. Venkataramani and Mr. Manish visited “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center (HFC). During the visit they were apprised of the functioning of the Hope For Children and given a tour of child centre. High Commissioner Mr. Manish set the tone with an insightful opening address, reflecting on the enduring relevance of Gandhian principles in today’s world. The High Commission was honoured by the presence of Ambassador Andreas S.
